After freezing my hands, and taking over two dozen pictures, I managed to keep a few that turned out pretty good. I will admit to picniking them too. The moon was supposed to be the closest thus being larger and brighter. But as nature has it we had too many clouds early on. So I couldn't take shots until she was almost overhead. I would loved to have taken some right has she came up over the tree line. Guess I will have to wait maybe another twenty years or so. Remember the movie "Moonstruck" they must have been talking about the same type of moon "Bella-Luna"

  1. Pretty! I think when at perigee, the moon is only about 14% larger. So, while that might sound like a lot, it still is kind of hard to notice the increase. At least it is for me. The moon was orange and large at the rising. Too bad I don't have a telephoto lense :( It looked enormous!
