Another one of my cross-stitches. This one had a painted background that you then stitched over. One of the harder ones I did.

What-to-do-What-to-do? I am not used to relaxing this much, maybe I will read after posting, as hub. is watching Indians baseball. I need to get outside and check out veggie garden to see if the second planting of corn has come up!! This fall that new stretch of garden will need manure and lime to bring it up to par. Only hope that this year it will produce. I find it hard to believe that we used to have a garden 15' x 100', oh for the younger days. We used to grow almost every type of veggie, but have really downsized. Maybe next year will attempt an even larger one then this year, just need a jump on it this fall.

Today is a relaxing day due to the fact that everythnig is too wet outside. But we did need it, now watch the weeds grow! Here is a photo of a painting that my Dad did quite a few years ago. He painted a set of different animals for use in greeting cards. He worked at American Greetings, was also a very established artist in his own right. I miss him terribly, but have many of his paintings to remember him by, as does my sister (Nolls Nip). I feel we inherited our artistic talents from him. Also our love of nature, animals and the things around us. Smile*

Well here is another one of my cross stitch. And Corster you can see them in the bathroom! In your room are other ones lol. Plus paintings from Grandpa. And what's this saying "your room". =^..^=

For the next few posts I want to show everyone one of my favorite hobbies - cross-stitch and counted cross-stitch. I haven't done any for a few years due to some serious eye problems, but soon I hope to be able to do them again. People have said I should sell them but because I make ones that I love to keep I never will sell any. Maybe some day they will be passed along to my niece .
