The picture for my header is one of coneflowers. I love them because they are hardy, grow anywhere, multiply and keep coming back. I found some new ones in a garden catalog that I plan on ordering.
Otherwise we were hit with 13 inches of blowing, drifting snow yuck. Plus it feels so cold at chore time. The snow drifted so much that the dogs' little outside porch was full to the top with it. They managed to push through the dog door and make a path down the steps into the pen. And the snow has built up so high that the six foot fence is only about 3 1/2 feet tall now. Good thing they do not realize this or I would be looking high and low for them.
I went and bought seeds, have pretty much all that I need, now will wait for plants. I know this weather needs to change soon, all my house plants are complaining. Dropping more and more leaves they are pretty bald right now. They need new dirt fertilizer and a good bath. The wood stove makes alot of dust, and it shows everywhere. But it does keep us warm, and we do not have to spend alot on propane. SMILE =^..^=

  1. I love your header !!!

Hope you melt soon .. and that the dogs don't figure out how close they are to escaping ^,,^

  2. Cornflowers are favorites of mine also, as is using the dusty wood stove - which we are not doing this year because the chimney didn't get swept. Oh well. Heating with gas isn't too expensive and is much easier.

  3. Your header is lovely!

I hope your snow melts soon too. I'm in southeastern Ontario and we had 15cms Thursday night, but it was wet and heavy and it's more slush now than anything. Such a long, grey winter! Can't wait to see crocuses and daffodils and green grass and coneflowers too. :-)
