Today was a rainy, windy day, not much to do. So I figured I would blog. Here is a photo of a honeysuckle bush, it is along the creek and has been here for atleast 20 years. The fragrance it emits reminds me of watermelon! Wow you should hear the bees abuzzing around it. Glad to see the honey bees making a come back.

Isn't this a huge bush full of sweet smelling flowers!

Today I walked around snapping pictures of our place. This is looking towards the backyard next to the barn. I took a walk after a good day of playing in the dirt. Repotted some of my large house plants, (star jasmine and a grapefruit tree), plus I dug up some cornflowers from a garden, also seven tiny lupine. Planted some ivy from pots and repotted some geraniums. Then it was onto weeding!!! What a chore, seeing as I had already done the front garden before, it looked like it hadn't been touched. So I filled a wheelbarrow full of dead stuff, branches and weeds. It's a start. There is never enough time in the day either that or I am getting too old!! =^..^= smile

While I sat outside tonight watching this sunset I listened to a bird singing his heart out. Was a combination of many different birds song, which meant it was either a cat bird or mockingbird. Couldn't find him in the trees so I will have to take the binoculars with me in the daylight and try and find him. But his song was so beautiful and relaxing, this is one of the reasons why I love living here on our 10 acres, peace, quiet and beautiful sunsets. SMILE :-]

OOOOH So high up!!! I hope I don't fall, and what is with the stupid bow!!!

You asked for them so here are two flowers in orange, one is a dahlia and the others are gerbera daisys. The others I will plant are cannas, and sunflowers and the orange cosmos, plus orange and two-toned orange marigolds. Plus the orange lilies that are just coming up, lol. So be patient orange will be coming your way soon!! Just our weather has gotten cooler and we even had a frost. So all the plants on the deck went into the shed. They are now out again but in a few nights they are saying in the 30's again, so they will be covered or moved back in. Oh I forgot my orange geraniums too.
