The past few days here have been really bad!!! First the snowblower died, which meant taking it in. Luckly for the next few days they say rain instead of snow and warmer temps. Then the one propane heater we have went out. So that meant getting a heating guy out. Then after it was fixed we smelled gas so he had to come out and fix a leak. Then my goofball of a horse sliced open his lower leg!! Blood everywhere, luckly other then a huge slice of skin and meat nothing was broken. So out came ointment, gauze, vet wrap and the ever popular duck tape. Was surprised he stood for all of it but he did. Then we turned them out and he left everything alone. hopefully come morning it will still be in place... If we didn't have bad luck we wouldn't have any luck my husband and I always say. So I decided to put up a cheerful pink lily, to help with all the gloom. Well tomorrow is another day as they say. Maybe things will go alittle better. Smile!

Here is an updated picture of Java's "boo-boo" foot. Yesterday I took the remaining four stitches out because he was working at them. Last week I took out two that he had pulled on, which caused him to be sore in that foot. And rather then risk him tearing them more and causing further damage and problems I just snipped them off. So he is much happier, and not licking or bothering his foot too much. So now it can finsih healing. I had to laugh because the vet said for 14 days no running, jumping etc. well he never listened because he has been doing this and more all along. But the worse has passed, once it closes further I will apply vitamin E which helps. Always something going on here at the Rustic Ranch!!
This is my precious "KIA" she is the old gal of the house at 9 yrs. young. And she is a true siamese, such a pain in the butt, but we love her anyway. She was one of our adopted ones from pet smart/humane society. I have a thing for siamese and huskies because of the blue eyes. They look at you and you get lost in them. I just need to figure out on my camera the red eye thing.
Today and the past two we have had what you would call a break in the weather, snow has melted alittle and creatures are venturing out. I have also noticed that the trees are getting color in the buds and branches even though we still have six more weeks of winter. Doesn't mean we need any more snow as we are currently at number 5 for the snowest season in erie, pa. One can only hope for a break from this long winter but I kinda doubt it.
So everyone hang in there I think we are over the hump, and spring will get here in six more weeks lol.
