These guys were here a few weeks ago, forgot I took some pictures of them..Remembered because yesterday we saw about 20 plus crossing the road, single file. So guess warmer weather is coming. I have also noticed that the song birds are singing their Spring songs again. Cardinals are turning bright red, I have even heard the Bluebird singing. The scrub brush around here is starting to tunr red along it's branches. The sap it running too, I has seen the buckets and the new way of collecting, where large barrels with tubing running from tree to tree to the barrels. So the subtle signs of Spring are gaining on this long, hard snowy winter!

Today my Dad is in a better mood, that's because Mom made one of his favorite meals two nights ago. "MEATLOAF" You may ask why would somethng so simple make his happy, well it is the secret ingredient Mom puts into hers. Hard boiled eggs. When you make your mixture of meatloaf, place only about a third into your pans. Then you lay end to end three hard-boiled, shelled eggs. Then finish with remaining mixture. bake as usual. There is just something about slicing into the meatloaf and seeing this sunny slice of egg in there. Hope this adds something to your old standby - meatloaf. Enjoy

"A garden that one makes oneself becomes associated with one's personal history and that of one's friends, interwoven with one's tastes, preferences, and character, and constitutes a sort of unwritten, but withal manifest, autobiography. Show me your garden, provided it be your own, and I will tell you what you are like." Alfred Austin photo by K. Hillman
